The initial deadline to comply with the vaccine mandate was <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/toronto-union-files-grievance-vaccination-policy\">October 30<\/a>, but was pushed back to January 2.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-7a0209f5=\"\">\n<p>Nearly 99 percent of the city&#8217;s active workforce have complied with the mandate, and are adequately vaccinated, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/news\/toronto-terminates-461-city-employees-who-failed-to-comply-with-covid-19-vaccine-policy-1.5728761\">CP24<\/a>.<\/p>\n<section data-v-7a0209f5=\"\">\n<p>248 employees have just one dose of vaccine, and 37 employees are still on temporary leave, with their accommodation requests being reviewed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-7a0209f5=\"\">\n<p>The city&#8217;s vaccine policy states: &#8220;This policy applies to all City of Toronto employees, volunteers and students.
